Dual Diagnosis
I have lived a full and meaningful life, shaped by both challenges and growth. Like everyone, I have made choices I am proud of and choices I have learned from. These life experiences, along with more than 22 years in the mental health and Alcohol/Drugs treatment field, have helped shape the way I support others.
My approach is honest, compassionate, and completely nonjudgmental. I believe every person deserves to be heard, respected, and met where they are. At times, I may be direct; at other times, I may be gentle. My goal is always to offer another perspective, help clients see life more clearly, and support them in functioning better in their daily lives.
I do not claim to have all the answers. What I offer is experience, perspective, and a genuine desire to help people who are ready to take steps toward healing and change. For those who feel lost, overwhelmed, or uncertain on life's journey, I am here to provide support, guidance, and hope.
My life's work can be summed up in three words: offering people hope.
Areas of Focus
I have experience working with individuals facing depression, anxiety, bipolar-related concerns, anger management, dual diagnosis, Alcohol/Drugs concerns, PTSD and trauma, LGBTQ+ concerns, dysfunctional family or relationship patterns, stress management, aging-related concerns, women's issues, men's issues, and other life challenges. I am also comfortable assisting with FMLA paperwork when appropriate.
Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic style is eclectic, meaning I draw from different approaches based on each client's needs. I commonly use reality therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. I believe therapy should be practical, supportive, and centered on helping clients better understand themselves, make healthier choices, and move forward with greater clarity.
What to Expect in Our First Session
In our first session, I will take time to listen and understand what brought you to therapy. We will discuss your concerns, your goals, and what you hope to gain from the process. Together, we will begin coordinating a treatment plan that supports your needs and helps guide your progress in a manageable and effective way.
Clients I Serve
I work with individuals ages 12 and older and have experience supporting people from many different backgrounds and life circumstances. I am best positioned to help clients who are ready to feel better, function better, and gain a healthier perspective on their lives. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply in need of support, my goal is to walk alongside you with honesty, respect, and hope.
Closing Message
Therapy is not about judgment. It is about growth, understanding, and learning how to move forward. When you are ready to listen, learn, and take meaningful steps toward change, I am here to help.
